The architecture is beyond belief and the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, is a sight to behold.  We had the opportunity to go up to the 123rd floor observation deck.  Needless to say the view was breathtaking. 

Dubai has two of the largest shopping malls in the world.

•The Dubai Mall, at the base of the Burj Khalifa, with a total area of 12,098,635 square feet is the world’s most visited mall with 65 million visitors a year.  This is more people than visit New York or Los Angeles.  It has one of the world’s largest indoor aquariums with the world’s largest acrylic panel.  The aquarium houses over 33,000 marine animals.  It also has an indoor ice skating rink, over 1,200 stores, and “Candylicious,” the largest candy store in the world.
