Peru is the country that contains two places that have been on my bucket list for a long time. The Nazca Lines (you probably know what they are but did not know that they had a name) and Machu Picchu. In visiting these two places I also had the pleasure of visiting Cusco and the village of Machu Picchu, two places that were big surprises as I had no idea that I would enjoy them so much. We hardly spent any time in Lima. It served basically and overnight stop to and from Machu Picchu, but what we did see made us think about returning. It the short time we were there it impressed us as be a modern and sophisticated city.
